Frequently Asked Questions About Teeth Whitening

Question: Can you remove stains in under an hour?

Answer: We can! With our in-office procedure, we first apply a powerful bleaching gel to the teeth. The gel is then activated using a curing light. Surface stains can then be removed in as little as one to two hours.

Question: How do you whiten teeth from home?

Answer: We also have an option you can use from the comfort of your own home. We will send you home with a set of trays from made plastic, as well as bleaching gel. The doctor will decide how often you need to wear the gel-filled trays, but the time frame usually falls between 30 minutes and 45 minutes. The total course of treatment takes about a week to ten days. Your smile can be brightened by multiple shades!

Question: Can you take steps to keep your smile bright?

Answer: You can! With proper care and attention, you can help your smile stay bright for several months. We recommend cutting back on sugar foods and drinks, as they can lead to plaque buildup (which in turn leads to discoloration). We also suggest brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing each night before bed. Finally, you need to have your teeth thoroughly cleaned twice a year to remove the plaque that brushing and flossing alone cannot.

Question: What causes teeth stains to form?

Answer: Stains can form as a result of smoking, drinks with dark pigments, or even sugary foods and drinks.
