State-of-the-Art Imaging and Diagnostic Tools
At 7 Day Dental Center, our dentists are committed to using the latest technology to better protect and enhance your oral health. Our innovative imaging tools mean that we can detect and diagnose dental concerns in the earliest stages, and we can also plan out unique treatment plans that are especially suited to meet your needs.
DIAGNOdent Dental Laser
As part of our approach to preventive dentistry, we strive to detect common dental problems in the earliest stages, before they progress. Using dental laser technology, DIAGNOdent allows Dr. Jing to thoroughly exam your teeth for any signs of developing decay. This advanced technology makes weak or decayed portions of the tooth exhibit fluorescence. Dr. Jing can then treat the decay before it leads to uncomfortable symptoms or endangers the tooth.
Intraoral cameras are tiny devices, attached to a handheld wand. Using this device, Dr. Jing or one of his colleagues can obtain a detailed view of your individual teeth. Because the camera is so small, the imaging process is quick and comfortable. Most importantly, the images are sent to a chairside computer, where they can be magnified up to 100 times, allowing your dentist to detect even the smallest cavities and structural flaws. Additionally, the digital images make it easy for your dentist to keep you informed about your oral health and to share this data with oral surgeons and other specialists.
Digital x-rays are also a vital part of our practice. Like traditional x-rays, this tool can provide detailed images of single teeth, as well as your entire dental structure. However, in contrast to film x-rays, digital images are much sharper and can be magnified many more times. This means that your dentist can detect the smallest abnormalities and take early action to prevent widespread dental damage and serious discomfort. Digital x-rays also make it easier for your dentist to create the optimal treatment plan for your needs. For example, if you are preparing to receive dental implants, these images will allow Dr. Nadershah to determine the best and most precise placement of your implant posts. Also, like the images from intraoral cameras, digital x-rays can be displayed on a computer screen, allowing you to be an active participant in your dental care.
